We offer a range of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient counseling and therapies.

Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Respiratory Therapist at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri Primrose. In this role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to medically complexed, physical conditions withing a psychiatric residential treatment facility, support the recovery and well-being of individuals struggling with mental health, complex physical conditions and behavioral challenges. This position can be contract, full time, or part time.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques
  • Monitor and manage respiratory support equipment
  • Assess patients’ respiratory status and response to treatments
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized respiratory care plans
  • Provide care and support as indicated for medically complex youth
  • Maintain infection control standards related to respiratory equipment and procedures


Qualifications

  • ​​​​​​Must be 21 years of age 
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required. 
  • Previous experience in pediatric, adolescent, hospital, or residential healthcare setting preferred. 
  • Knowledge of respiratory care modalities and treatment of medically complex patients. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with youth and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. 
  • Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License required. 
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. 
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. 
  • Valid State Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements.
