Role Overview
As a Maintenance Technician at Perimeter Behavioral Health, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a
safe, functional, and therapeutic environment for our patients and staff. This position combines technical
expertise with a commitment to safety and quality in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance
Perform general repairs and maintenance including:
o Sheetrock repair and painting
o Light fixture maintenance and bulb replacement
o Ceiling tile maintenance
o Carpet cleaning and floor care
o Playground equipment safety checks
Complete preventive maintenance tasks
Respond to maintenance requests promptly
Systems Management
Conduct and document regular HVAC system audits
Perform routine electrical system inspections
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and audit reports
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
Monitor building systems for optimal performance
Grounds Management
Maintain safety of exterior areas including:
o Parking lot maintenance
o Snow and ice removal
o Lawn care and landscaping
o Playground equipment inspection
Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely
Safety & Compliance
Follow all facility safety protocols
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Ensure proper storage of tools and equipment
Report safety concerns promptly
Maintain compliance with healthcare facility standards
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year commercial building maintenance experience
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Physical ability to lift 60 pounds
Must be at least 21 years old
Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Valid driver's license
HVAC certification
Experience in healthcare facility maintenance
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Background in commercial electrical systems
Technical Skills
Proficiency in general repairs
Understanding of HVAC systems
Basic electrical troubleshooting
