Position Summary the Program Director oversees the daily operations, programming, and staff development within the hospital. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to patients while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The Program Director provides leadership, supervision, and training to staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic programs that align with the hospital’s mission, vision, and treatment philosophy.
· Support staff ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
· Deliver comprehensive staff training programs focused on clinical competencies, safety procedures, trauma-informed care, and professional development.
· Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, patient outcomes, and feedback, making adjustments as needed to improve quality of care.
· Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.
· Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, reporting, and quality assurance standards.
· Participate in onboarding and performance evaluations of program staff.
· Serve as a liaison between hospital leadership, staff, patients, and families to promote effective communication and service delivery.
· Lead initiatives to enhance staff engagement, retention, and professional growth.
· Develop and oversee evidence-based programs tailored to the unique needs of individuals with autism, incorporating behavioral, sensory, communication, and social skill interventions.
· Implement family education and support initiatives to enhance understanding of autism interventions and promote continuity of care beyond the hospital setting.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related behavioral health field required.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
· Demonstrated experience in program development, staff training, and performance management.
· Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Work Environment This position operates within a behavioral health hospital setting, requiring regular interaction with patients, staff, and administration. The role may involve occasional evening or weekend hours to support training or program needs.
