Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused individuals to join our team as A&R (Intake) Mental Health Technicians. In this role, you will be a critical part of the admissions and intake process, helping ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort while supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare.

Essential Responsibilities
- Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors and interactions.
- Assist with patient admissions, intake processes, and belonging inventory.
- Conduct patient and contraband searches in accordance with hospital procedures.
- Support patients with daily living activities and therapeutic programming.
- Facilitate a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Demonstrate and reinforce positive coping skills and appropriate behaviors.
- Identify and respond to patients at risk while following safety protocols.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and approved crisis intervention methods.
- Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assist clinical staff in delivering high-quality behavioral health care.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist with patient interventions as needed.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
Preferred
- One (1) year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, or a related field.
- Coursework or experience in Psychology, Human Services, Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral challenges.
Certifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification.
