Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused individuals to join our team as A&R (Intake) Mental Health Technicians. In this role, you will be a critical part of the admissions and intake process, helping ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort while supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare.

Essential Responsibilities

Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors and interactions.
Assist with patient admissions, intake processes, and belonging inventory.
Conduct patient and contraband searches in accordance with hospital procedures.
Support patients with daily living activities and therapeutic programming.
Facilitate a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Demonstrate and reinforce positive coping skills and appropriate behaviors.
Identify and respond to patients at risk while following safety protocols.
Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and approved crisis intervention methods.
Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic relationships with patients.
Assist clinical staff in delivering high-quality behavioral health care.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist with patient interventions as needed.
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.

Preferred

One (1) year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, or a related field.
Coursework or experience in Psychology, Human Services, Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline.
Previous experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral challenges.

Certifications

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Handle With Care (HWC) certification.
