Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-Night Shift
Beacon Children Hospital has immediate openings for Night LPNs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those with mental health illness.
The Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities include the following:
- Provides general nursing care as required.
- Develops a therapeutic relationship with patients.
- Distribute medication as prescribed and properly maintain the MARS.
- Establish and maintain professional contact with the patient's physician and in planning the patient's care.
- Intervene appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed. Providing quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents.
- Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
Qualified Candidates for Licensed Practical Nurses should have the following:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Alabama or eligible compact license
- Prefer one-year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Must be CPR Certified
