Your Impact

As the Licensed Lead Therapist on our team, you'll:

  • Provide direct-care services to patients including individual, group and family sessions. Serve as a primary therapist to assigned patients and their families.
  • Interview patients and family members to develop a complete psychosocial assessment. Obtain information about patient history, health and level of functioning.
  • Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment plans and updates.
  • Work with patients and families to prepare solid aftercare plans, including referrals to community agencies and other professionals as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring programmatic activities are occurring and documented accordingly in the patient medical record. Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness of the treatment plan.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of services provided and ensure documentation in the patient charts in a timely manner
  • Respond to inquiries and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Implement program policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff
  • Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice
  • Ensure program functions within requirements established by Joint Commission and other state and federal agencies.
  • Remain knowledgeable of current trends related to behavioral healthcare by participating in professional organizations, reviewing current literature and communicating with representatives of other facilities.
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with organization policies.
  • Serve as a preceptor/new hire trainer, as well as support the Director of Clinical Services in ongoing training and quality improvement efforts in the dept.
  • Assist the primary therapist and Director of Clinical Services involving cases with complexity of coordination of care and discharge planning
  • Provide support to the Director of Clinical Services during their absence from the facility
  • Assist the Director of Clinical Services with ongoing chart audits and performance/quality reviews of program therapists as it relates to state regulatory readiness, and TJC regulatory readiness
Ideal Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related mental health field required
  • Current unrestricted licensure required (LMSW or LPC preferred)
  • Minimum 1-3 years' of hospital-based psychiatric experience with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills; trauma informed care or substance abuse experience
  • Passion for working with youth and families
  • Commitment to completing BLS and Handle with Care Training within 30 days
