Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant. This position will work closely with the HR Manager, leadership team and staff. The HR Assistant's responsibilities include the following:
- Provides on-site HR support to the facility.
- Assists in preparing personnel-related documents for Joint Commission surveys.
- Assists in the recruitment of all vacancies, including interviewing, job placement, and conducts new employee orientation.
- Grades new employee orientation material.
- Creates and maintains employee files in accordance with the Joint Commission, Federal and State guidelines regarding behavioral health hospitals.
- Ensures license verifications are completed as scheduled.
- Reviews, tracks, and updates employee education files with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessment; audits personnel files, ensuring all information is current and appropriately filed.
- Coordinates onboarding for all new hires and ensures all new hire background checks and onboarding documentation has been properly completed prior to orientation.
- Conducts employee benefit orientation, open enrollment meetings and assists employees with benefit enrollment when eligible.
- Reports all personnel issues to the HR Manager.
- Assists the HR Manager and facility management regarding employee related issues, counseling and termination procedures as required.
- Assists in the maintenance of accurate job descriptions for all positions employed at the facility and consults with the HR Manager on all changes or new job descriptions needed.
- Completes all employment verifications for current and former employees.
- Distributes and collects hospital badges and keys assigned to staff.
- Assists with ADA, and Leave of Absence for staff including workers compensation, FMLA and other related leave requests.
- Updates and edits the HRIS system regarding any employee changes.
- Coordinates and facilitates employee engagement activities for the hospital.
- Assists with organizing special employee events, employee activities and HR related in-service training(s).
- Assists with other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, including strict adherence to confidentiality in handling all employee and organization information.
Qualified candidates for HR Assistant should have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS system, preferably UKG.
Additional Requirements:- Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours as requested.
