Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly schedules for the nursing department
- Monitor daily staffing and census utilizing the staffing resources to minimize overtime
- FTE management, utilizing appropriate staffing grid
- Report staffing patterns and/or vacant positions to the CNO
- Maintain attendance records of nursing staff
- Process PTO requests and ensure coverage for employees taking PTO
- Manage overtime
- Ensure training/orientation of Nursing staff is current
- Maintain up to date and accurate nursing staff phone lists
- Nursing supply inventory
- Lab supply inventory
- Organization and upkeep of central supply areas
- Ordering of all nursing supplies online through contracted vendor account
- Ensure unit supply areas are stocked.
- Monitoring expiration dates of supplies and disposing as appropriate
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year minimum experience in a healthcare setting required
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting preferred
- 1+ years of experience staffing in a 24-hour operations healthcare setting strongly preferred
- May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends and/or flexible hours
